Summer Brights.

This week didn't have a happy start for us. Tuesday morning my son and my husband were getting ready to leave the house to go shopping, when my son alarmed me that our neighbors house is on fire. We ran over to check if anyone was home,by that time our other neighbor was coming up to their door too, and she already call the Fire Department since she was the first to notice the fire starting outside the house in the back of the garage. Thankfully one of the boys was home. He was able to getter all of their pets; two dogs, cat, and a bird. We helped him carry them out to the safe place. This only took maybe a couple of minutes, by that time the fire was progressing very fast. We all stood there and watch in great sadness and disbelieve. It took about five to seven minutes for fire trucks to arrive and by that time the whole back of the garage and top floor above the garage was in flames. We watch in shock and fright. Thank God for fireman!!! They stopped the fire from progressing pretty quickly. Everyone was safe and OK, and that's most important. My neighbors are renting a house close by and hoping to have their home rebuild by the end of this year. Even thou it doesn't look that bad from the outside, the most damage is inside and it has to be all redone.

Here are some pictures I took right after the fire:

Now to a happier news. I have finished my second kit for this month Kim B's CT Color Challenge, Swatch Number 2.

I name the kit "Summer Brights" because of all the bright colors in it and for a lock of a better name. I'm not very good in the business of coming up with kit names. Hopefully you'll like it.

I think it's pretty versatile and it can be used for all kind of different scrap booking pages. Here are the previews and a download links:

and the papers here :

This is all for today. I hope to get some love from you if you download the kit, and any comments are very much appreciated. Have a wonderful weekend!!!

  2. thanks for another beautiful kit, you do amazing work on these. So sorry to hear about your neighbors house. The most important thing is that noone was hurt. I know it was tragic at the time and very stressful for them; however, material items can always be replaced, our loved ones cannot.

  5. You kit for the CC is gorgeous. I love that you went with the softer colors. So much easier on the ink cartridge. LOL

Thank you for sharing and I feel so sorry for your neighbors, but am thankful they and their pets were not harmed.
